How To Adopt
If a kitten is adopted before it has been spayed/neutered, adopters will receive a certificate that entitles them to have the procedure done at no extra cost when the cat is 6-8 months of age. This certificate will cover the spay/neuter, and idenitification tattoo. Extras such as iv fluids , blood work etc. will not be covered.

Kittens will not be adopted before 12 weeks of age.

It is the responsibility of the adopter to have pets records transferred from the rescues vet to their own vet in order to maintain booster reminders and health records.

Spay/Neuter: In order to help prevent unwanted litters, having your pet spayed or neutered is a mandatory condition of adoption if it hasn't already been done. We will follow up with adopters to ensure compliance.

Declawing: We do not permit declawing of our rescue cats.  It is now banned in Manitoba as it has been ruled to be inhumane.

Fees include:
Spay or Neuter($150-300 value) Identification Tattoo(priceless) Health check and current vaccines up to date of adoption. If vaccines are not completed at adoption adopter is responsible for remaining shots and boosters . Two worm treatments and if necessary treatment for earmites and FIV/Felv testing when considered a high risk case.

*Please note that the adoption fee may ALSO include (for no additional fee to the adopter) a surgery or treatment that is mandatory for the cats health prior to adoption ex. dental.*

Please be advised we select the best possible home for each and every cat that comes through our rescue. In some cases, we have two great homes who are interested in a cat, so the rescue will select the home which best matches the cat in question.  We do reserve the right to refuse an applicant for any reason.
All cats must be returned to Cats TNR & Rescue if the adoptive family is no longer able to keep the cat. Up to and until 60 days the full adoption fee will be returned regardless of the reason. After 60 days 50% of the adoption fee will be returned.
